Here in TX you have the right to choose your power provider. Visit www.powertochoose.org to compare many different companies current rates, and find the one that best fits your needs. When connecting your power for the first time give yourself a week for connection. You will need to know the Meter Number, ESI-ID Number and physical service address (this may not be the same as your mailing address). If you are having power connected in an apartment, be sure to obtain this information from management before calling to connect your power service. These are a few commonly used companies:

Water, Sewer & Trash:
To have your water turned on, you must go to the office in person. Bring with you $40, your ID, SS#, and the address of the residence. The water will be turned on the same day.
Once your water is set up, call (830) 773-0679, or (830) 773 9408 to request a trashcan. They will ask for your water account number. (You can only do this after your water is set up.)
