OLD BUSINESS

DELIVERY OF MOTHER’S DAY GOODIES
Natalie and Jen dropped off goodies to both the North and South Station. Thank you to everyone that contributed.

EOD Ashlie attended May 1st, May 19th, May 29th . If you interested in attending an EOD with Ashlie, please email her. The mixer at the Mall was successful, mall representatives stated they are willing to help out our group. Representative from Sul Ross gave our group a few bags with information about the college. (They were handed out during the meeting)



NEW BUSINESS

WEB ADMINISTRATOR Rachel Hinman has been working on the blog spot and updating the page on a weekly basis, if you notice that something is outdated please email her to let her know.

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION Veronica and Jen will look into becoming a non profit organization and at this time it does not seem to be something that would benefit the group because of the fees that are associated

FATHER’S DAY TREATS June 21st we will drop off treats for the agents that are working. If you would like to donate treats, snacks, drinks, and or money to buy something for the agents please let officers know.

OTHER DEPARTMENTS Natalie spoke with someone that is moving here with Customs and asked if she could attend our meeting. The group decided that yes we can invite other spouses that are in a different department of homeland security. So if you know of someone please invite them.

FAMILY NIGHT Votes were taken on having family night and all members that attended were in favor.
*Our first event will be Thursday June 18th from 6pm to 8pm at Dessert lanes (Family Bowling Night)
* On July 2nd we will meet at the public swimming pool from 1-3 (We will make sure that it is open at that time)

BOOK CLUB Jen is organizing a book club and they will be meeting once a month. If you are interested please email her.

BOX TOPS We will be collecting box tops and brining them to our meeting, the person that donates the most per month will have to chance to decide what school we will donate the box tops to.

FUNDRAISER The yard sale is on hold until further notice.
Members also voted on having a scholarship for children of Border Patrol. They need to be seniors and advise us that they are interested in receiving the scholarship. Any money collected for this fund will be divided into the amount of applicants we receive. Each one will receive something. More details will be made available.

DIINERS Members decided that we should take new families a little something from the spouses as soon as we are made aware of a new family moving. Celinda will be taking the first basket to the Ruiz family, they moved from Corpus. If you know of someone that is moving in or has recently moved in please let the officers know so the basket can be put together and delivered.

BIRTHDAYS/BIRTHS Members decided by voting that the budget will be $20.
Ashlie will be getting greeting cards for us to use. Rose had an idea of a onesie for new babies. (We would need to purchase the onesie’s and have them made for us)

RECYCLING The North station will be getting a container to recycle. Members are encouraged to recycle. The city has containers, if you want more information please email Jen.

QUESTIONS OR IDEAS Members were given the opportunity to voice any concerns or ideas that they felt like sharing. (No one said anything)

NEW MEMBERS Lydia Stanwick renewed her membership

BPBP SHIRTS We have available the green shirts in sizes: small, medium, and large. If you would like to purchase one please contact Celinda. Also if you would like to order the blue dress shirt contact her as well.

CALENDAR Jen passed out a list of summer activities and a calendar.
