Her shadow lost behind him as he stands so tall
Nobody sees her she is like a wall
Her tears and fears hidden behind her eyes
As she lovingly supports him she waves goodbye
He is leaving for awhile and her heart sinks
But she knows he longs to wear
The color forest green
As the months pass they exchange calls and letters
Graduation has finally arrived a day long anticipated
But can anyone see her standing beside him
Her tears and fears once again hidden
As she stands with her chest puffed with pride
He looks her direction with loving eyes
She wipes the tears from her face
She stands tall with style and grace
And as he wears the forest green uniform
She begins to worry as she thinks
He will walk the desert, the fields, and the streams
He will ride horses and drive the boats,
He will train the dogs and teach them to search
His desire to work, to protect and to serve
He will instruct new agents and she doesn’t realize
That he beams and boasts with unspeakable pride
Of that special woman he holds so dear
And under his breath she will softly hear
How he is in awe day after day
As she dresses in her invisible uniform of green
She leaves her home with energy but returns without steam
He notices her uniform a little dusty and worn
He points her direction and he screams
“Thank you God for my wife
Who stands beside me with support and pride
She is my invisible agent and with style and with your grace
She never seems to waiver in her cemented faith
She stands there with no recognition
and with ambition she politely waits
In her invisible famous forest green uniform
The color of dignity, the color of strength.
Nobody sees her she is like a wall
Her tears and fears hidden behind her eyes
